VOICEPRESS reports that the statement came in response to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Lavrov’s accusations.

“In his speech at the Mediterranean Dialogue, Lavrov accused the United States of playing political games in the Mediterranean and extending the appointment of a special envoy to Libya. Mr Lavrov still misunderstands the facts and tries to rewrite history. It’s unfortunate,” Pompeo said.

It should be noted that Lavrov blamed Washington for the main problems of the Middle East, such as terrorism, humanitarian catastrophe and human rights violations.
