E.Suleymanov: Nowadays, science of psychology distinguishes ethics of special children. According to my investigation, I found some materials they argued that special children rights up to their parents because caregiver allow to going a developmental psychologist or therapist .

Also, the controversial issue that should they educate normal society or not? If parent does not on the right way for their child’s life care? The rest of my aim is to investigate this controversial issue to decide as we will be psychologist, how can we decide to do our job ethically considerable. Also the main issue in this report is to decide significance of special children’s ethic as they consulate normally or not such as ethic for normal person, can acceptable for them or do they need special consideration of ethics. In human population we recognize with special children everywhere such as schools, educational areas and etc…

We have to understand that they are different than other children. As we see a child who can’t hear we have to understand that his also sensation of world can be differently. They have some disabilities they need to care and they have difficulties to understand others because they have problems. Every human has to understand we can’t skip them. Also the law of our life has to be preferable for them. In this report I investigated that professional psychologists make some investigation to understand their feelings and then the rules for them was made for each illness. According to the articles, every disability of the child has specific ethic to consider in different areas of society which are situated specific hospitals and schools.

According to, Sari H. (2009) “there is different methodologies of hearing disabilities children in Turkey”. He also agreed that there is no rule for them too (p., 392). This is the big problem. Also I am going to argue about the life of special children such as try to find importance of parental care or caregivers and what their role is for special children life or therapy during the sessions.

The first and controversial of issue of the topic is how psychologist helps to special children, when it is a hand of a psychologist. The thing is that firstly we have to focus on that thus kind of disability is genetic or non genetic. If it is genetic disorder (e.g., Dawn Syndrome) the parents of this child has allowance for birth. It is also controversial issue that should they abort or not. After the birth parents strongly believe that their child will be healthy by special educators, genetic counselors and etc… Also parents allow doing treatment of their child by psychologist. When it is at hand of psychologist s (he) becomes to do the treatment code of ethic accordingly but there is ethic problem of issue that sometimes parents never understand their child’s pain. Parents should consider and understand the mood, social interaction or pain of their special child. If they could not approve the pain it is the big problem. If it is hand of psychologist, of course psychologist most probable to solve problem to treatment of the child. For example, the research done in University of Central Lanchasire, School of Nursing, by/or B. Carter et al. (2002) and they believe that parent strongly believe special child’s pain is normal and the child is ready to this pain and the study conclusion was:

“Parents felt that their child had learned to live with significant levels of chronic and acute pain. Assessment of pain was an uncertain and complex process requiring parents to draw on skills and knowledge developed over a number of years. Parents used different strategies for both the assessment and management of pain based on an intimate knowledge of their child’s usual nonpaying state. Even with a limited repertoire of behaviors available to them, children were able to express pain. Parents often felt isolated in relation to pain management and under-used as a
resource by health professionals (p., 449) (or2010, http://www.uclan.ac.uk/courses/index.php q=health/schools/school_of_nursing/everyday_pain.php)’’.

This means parents who has special child actually they can’t solve or they have poor knowledge, because they are not health nursing, special educator or a psychologist. They strongly believe with themselves “it could be like this because my child is ill”. This means our human society has problem with ethic. The social programmed has to make for this family they should accept they need special professional or psychologist. As it hand of psychologist, the psychologist strongly educate the parents not being shock the child gone be ok as it reality. Counselor /Therapist /Psychologist or Psychiatrist aim has to be session with family or parents too. Because of the child’s daily life gone followed by mother or caregiver. For example, if child has autistic disability case study has to make for parent by psychologist accordingly .The parent has significant role for this. Because of, as from psychology we know the people who are autistic disability they can’t speak well; they have emotional, mood and interactional cognitive problems. For treatment of child, the therapist has to do case study of parent or group psychotherapy to learn disability to generalize report. Parents who believe their child’s pain is normal ,because the child is abnormal like autism the therapist has to be advisor to parent to help to how s(he) can solve the problem for being right parental care. The role of psychologist also can be advisor actor of being real parental care to teach parent to prevent child’s life. Kauffman and Hallahan (2009) states “some parents with what most of us consider a disability do not see their difference from “normal” or typical as a disability and thus would not see such difference between their child and others if their child had a disability” and I think it is the main problem that parent couldn’t choose abnormality to normal. For this in the kinder gardens, schools have to be a developmental psychologist and the law has to make to speak with parent to describe health action of the child.

Because of, the disability might be solve by therapist in the moment not the future ,such as schizophrenia .We learnt that this kind of illness might be treat in childhood than 16 years old. That means the parent has a big responsibility to care their child. The session has to be group therapy and the therapist (developmental psychologist) has to start with parent’s case result. Secondly, s (he) can consider on child treatment. B. Carter and his colleagues (2002) did case study for learning the pain of the child who is special and they agreed that learning pain of the child from using
case note of parent is most useful and code of ethic also agrees with this. According to The Journal of Intellectual Disability Research (2002), the present research conducted to learn healthy lifestyle of the Down Syndrome Children in Rome to learn lifestyle and ethic of thus children. The study results show that there is serious problem lifestyle of this children, because social-economic policy of the city does not allow to built special education areas for this children and also the law of ethic is not allow to do this (M. Bertoli et al. p., 817).

The ethical consideration absence and political factors of this kind of children life can give me allowance to tell that it is very serious problem and Italian government should built some special children schools and has to find educators. Also, the ethical absence of law should be change to lifestyle of these children.

Also as I mentioned above, there is no special law for special children in Turkey (Sari. H, 2009).That means there is serious problem. Because of, think that, the law could not differentiate what is abnormal and what is normal. If the child has autism or dyslexia and there is no rule for them, this means we harm thus people to do this. Actually they could not do this. H.Sari (2009), agreed in his investigation that, there is no ethic in his country and this makes difficulty. He also investigated that, children who has hearing problems and who studies in special schools and their scores were higher than children who has hearing disability in normal schools. He complains that, absent of ethic in his country, makes difficulty hearing disability children’s education and life.

I think the ethical or absence of law for thus children problem has to solve by the government and parliaments. Because, professional special health educators can teach special children not normal teacher. For this, Special Health Center has to make to teach and treat them. As I mentioned above, it is
possible to being of parent unprofessional. Parents can be helper position to telling daily character or pain of the child. However, on above I mentioned some of the explanation and solution reasons but there are some reasons that I don’t recognized during the research. The main problem of the issue that there is special children and they don’t have mother.

In conclusion, introduction part of the report is answered correctly. Genetic and no genetic disability of child is considered. The ethical consideration of special children touched. The problems of the code of ethic are criticized and also absence of law and ethic is touched. Future directions of these ethic problems, importance of special children schools is touched, parental care and misunderstanding aspects ,such as dilemma of thus care solution aspects investigated accordingly. As we live human society we have to understand them. They sometimes can be shy that they have disability but we have to support them to going of them to successful lifestyle…Do not forget that they are in our human Society. Living this life is the right of them too…
